Monday Evening

Here are some photos that Brad took yesterday. Emma likes to "raise the roof" now. You tell her to "raise the roof" and those little arms start pumping up and down.

Raise the Roof

Yes, it is Upside Down but that Doesn't Stop Her

More Moving

Well, we spent more time this weekend packing and moving although I guess that I should say that while I did do some packing, all the moving was on Brad's end. I got to play with Emma while Brad did all the hard work. Since the weather was so nice this weekend, we spent some time running around outside, which involved a lot of me running after Emma to keep her from going into the street. She tried many fakes to get by me but I am still faster. Her greatest joy of being outside is when people walking their dogs pass by. She tries to run over to the dog, waves to the dog, and blows kisses to the dog. She loves them but daddy is not budging on this issue. Maybe one of these days, we will wear him down. More photos of Emma G. soon I promise. Happy Monday to all!

New Cousin

Emma's new cousin, Madison Elaine arrived last Tuesday. Go check her out at The "New" Davis Family!. Congratulations to Lesa and Chris on the arrival of your beautiful daughter.

Things that Make You Go Ahhh!

Yesterday afternoon, we got Emma's coat on and were prepared to leave daycare. However, Emma had some unfinished business. She took off to where her friend Libby was sitting, put her hands on Libby's legs and bent over to give her a kiss/hug. That being done, she turned around to come back to us, which made Libby start to cry so Emma wheeled around to give Libby another goodbye kiss/hug. She stood up and I said something to the effect of, "Are you giving Libby kisses?" and Emma bent back down to give her another one. She was then ready to go. We had never seen her do anything like that before and it was just too cute for words. I wish that I had had a camera with me.

Helping Out!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Emma has become quite the little helper. She especially enjoys handing me clothes to put in the washing machine and then putting them in the dryer once they have been washed. Her help keeps her from messing with the lint tray and trying to constantly close the dryer door so that is also good for me.

This weekend we started moving some boxes over to the new house (barely scratch the surface though). On Saturday, Emma watched as Brad took boxes into the office and stacked them against the wall. There was one box, which was just the right size for Emma so we let her carry it in and she took it right over to the stacks Brad had already made and put it right on top. It actually belonged in the kitchen but I didn't have the heart to move it at that point. We did get her to carry in one box on Sunday but she was much more interested in running around in the backyard that day. The box sort of got dumped in the middle of the office. I picked it up and put it with the other boxes but must have put it in the wrong place because she marched on over, picked it up, and moved it to another stack. She is a great little helper!

Closing Day

It is closing day and I have a cashiers check in my hot little hand and ready to go. Hopefully we won't get carpal tunnel signing our lives away. I guess this means we should really get serious about starting to pack. Any volunteers?
