It seems as though Emma is working on cutting her first tooth. You can definitely feel it if you rub her gums. We have managed to see the start of the tooth a couple of times but Emma is not so cooperative when it comes to people looking in her mouth. Unless the tooth decides to go back down, which just seems like a cruel twist of nature, our little toothless wonder will be toothless no more. So far, teething has not made her fussy but oh the drool! If only we could harness the power of baby drool for something like an alternative to gas. Sleeping has not been so great of late, which is likely related to the teething issue and will hopefully work itself out before too long. We have had exactly one night where Emma slept through the night and that was almost too long ago to remember. Lately we have been up at least four times a night. Thankfully she goes back down pretty quickly with the exception of earlier this week when she was ready to party at 2am. Brad took some pictures of Emma this week out in front of the clematis, which is blooming like crazy. All the rain we have been getting has really made the plants and flowers happy.

The expression here cracked me up!
