Florida 2012 - Getting There

Since we had so much fun last year, we decided to head back down to Pensacola Beach again this summer.  This year we left on Friday night and stopped in Vicksburg, which is approximately the halfway point.  We started questioning our choice to drive to Florida after we stopped three times within the first hour and a half so that Josh could go potty.  Fortunately, he wasn't as bad on the drive after day 1.  After breakfast Saturday morning, we loaded up for the second half of the trip.  Everything was great until we hit Mobile.  We realized very quickly that Saturday is not a good day to head to the beaches.  The traffic really backs up since the Interstate narrows down to two lanes to go through the tunnel.  It literally took us an hour and a half to move five miles.  Fortunately Josh never asked to stop and potty during that time because we had nowhere to go.  We finally made it to the hotel late afternoon on Saturday.  Once we parked, it was the last time we got into the car until we left on Thursday.
