First Swim Meet

At the beginning of the pool season, Coach Denise asked us about the swim team.  We've never been able to participate since practices are during the work day.  She mentioned that she had several interested that also couldn't make it to those practices so she was willing to do a Saturday morning.  Both kids jumped at the opportunity.  They had their first swim meet at the Leawood Pool on July 19th.  They could choose two strokes to compete in: free, butterfly, back, or breaststroke.  They both chose to compete in free and breaststroke and did amazing.  Emma swam in the same heat as the boys for the free and came in second almost beating the first boy.  Go SturbridgeTsunamis!
