Kansas City - Post-Graduation

After graduation, we all sort of headed off in separate directions.  I had been planning to take Emma to the American Girl doll store so the two of us headed that way while the boys hung out at the house.  Our intention was to have her doll's hair done.  While she headed to the salon, Emma and I were given a tour by one of the women working at the store.  It was really neat hearing the stories behind many of the dolls.  Near the end of the tour, we were called to the salon where we learned that Rose had an issue with her hair that required a hospital stay.  The nurse collected all her information including favorite foods, movies, and vitals and then the doctor came out to speak with us.  It was such a cute process!

While Emma and I were at the store, Josh had a great time playing ball with the boys and taking his own turn at archery.  He loves spending time with his big cousins.

Kansas City - Graduation

On Sunday, Garret officially graduated from Truman  High School. and was then forced to pose for many, many photos.

Kansas City

While Emma finished up her end of the year festivities at school, Brad and I headed home to pack up for Kansas City.  We picked up Josh, picked up Emma and headed north for a weekend celebrating Garret's graduation from high school.  Graduation was on Sunday but it worked out better to have the party on Saturday afternoon.  The rain did not stop the adults from demonstrating their archery abilities.  For posterity, I shot better than Brad

Field Day

The last day of school is always bittersweet with tons of fun with field day in the morning but then it is time to say goodbye to amazing teachers.  We certainly hit the jackpot with Ms. Fortenberry and Ms. Whitbeck for kindergarten.  Brad and I were both able to be at field day this year.  It was definitely fun watching Emma with all her friends.  After field day, Emma and her classmates headed back inside for a little end of the year party.
