Josh is 10

No more single digits in this house as Josh is 10.  Sadly, the timing didn't work out for a birthday party but I think he had a good birthday at home at least.

First Day of School - 2019-2020

And just like that, Emma is off to middle school while Josh moves up to 4th grade and gets a locker.  Josh started off the year with Mrs. House since Mrs. Kane was on maternity leave.

Summer Intensive - Week 2

For the second week, it was amazing to see how much they learned in a short amount of time.

City Swim Meet

The weather was good this year so they were able to get in the full city meet without threat of thunderstorms.  Emma had a great meet and Josh helped his relay team to a medal.  After the meet, we went back to the neighborhood pool to celebrate the season.

Summer Intensive

Emma auditioned or the Ballet Arkansas Summer Intensive in February an after she was accepted, we decided she would do both weeks.  Each week consisted of classes and conditioning daily with a final recital at the end of the week.  The day went from 9-4 pm and Emma was exhausted at the end of each day but enjoyed the experience and being introduced to different types of dance.  Her favorite was the contemporary.

Swim Meet - July 10th

With our vacation, kids weren't able to do as many swim meets as the previous year.  In all honesty Josh did not want to be on the swim team but was forced.  In hindsight, I should have let him sit it out since he didn't have a great summer and just got more frustrated with each meet.  Emma, on the other hand, killed it this year.  During the July 10th meeting, they both swam freestyle and then Emma added in breast stroke while Josh did butterfly.
