Florida 2013 - Day 6

All good things must come to an end and Friday morning, it was time to check out and start the trek back home.  Emma had requested we go visit the U.S.S. Alabama again this year but it looked like rain again so we decided to visit the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola instead.  As it turned out, the rain held off but it was hot so this was an excellent choice.  The kids really enjoyed the planes that they could climb on and liked pretending to play pilot.  The museum was huge and one could easily spend hours and hours looking at everything.  Of course, the five and three year olds were not entirely interested in spending much time on any one exhibit.  After a quick lunch at the museum where Josh told the waitress he loves pickles (he doesn't) and wanted them on his hot dog, which prompted her to bring him extra pickles, we strapped in headed up to Vicksburg for the night before our final, relatively short push home.  Both kids did so great this year even with being up late and totally out of their routine.  Looking forward to our next beach vacation already!
