Disney Day 5 - Emma's Birthday at Magic Kingdom

Day 5 we awoke to a newly 8 year old girl.  We got her a button at the front desk to wear during the day and she'll tell you that she's never had an many happy birthday wishes.  Before going to Magic Kingdom, we ate at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  You can choose whether you want your waiter/waitress to be serious or mess around with you.  We chose the later and our waitress was a hoot.  We would certainly go back again.

We took the boat over to Magic Kingdom and again split up.  While Emma and I waited to meet Tinkerbell, Brad and Josh went to Splash Mountain.  They got seated in the very front and were soaked.  Emma and I then went to It's a Small World and probably were on one of the last few rides before it was down most of the day.  Josh and Brad met Woody and Jessie in Adventureland.  We rejoined forces and explored Tom Sawyer Island before riding through the Haunted Mansion.  Josh detested the Haunted Mansion and could not wait for it to end.  Emma was okay after a bit and then thought it was funny.  Once we finished the Haunted Mansion, Emma and I waited to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel (probably Emma's favorite after meeting them; she was so cute and funny) while Brad and Josh met Buzz and rode the PeopleMover.  We all took another turn on the PeopleMover before grabbing some lunch.

It was then about time for our Fast Pass ride on Splash Mountain.  This time Emma and I were in the front with Brad and Josh right behind.  As much as Josh loved all the rides, the look on his face seems to tell another story.  We then went to our meet and greet with Belle (Enchanted Tales with Belle).  I have to say that this was a favorite character experience.  They act out the story and choose kids to play the roles.  Josh was selected to be the Beast and got to dance with Belle.  He didn't mind dancing with a pretty girl one bit at all.  Before dinner, we also fit in Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, meeting Goofy and Donald and riding the Seven Dwarves Mine Train.  The Seven Dwarves was a favorite roller coaster for sure!

For dinner, we had reservations at Be Our Guest, the Beast's castle.  We were in the main ballroom where Belle and the Beast first danced.  After a yummy dinner and superb chocolate cake, we explored the castle and met the Beast where Emma got to dance with him.  We finished the night with a ride at the Tomorrowland Speedway and the electrical parade.  What a great day to finish out our trip and a special day for our birthday girl.  Once again, we wore the boy out and he fell asleep in Brad's arms waiting for the bus.  I'm surprised Brad hasn't needed an adjustment.

The next day we took a quick trip to Downtown Disney before heading back to the airport on the Magical Express.  We're all looking forward to going back!
