Even though there was one more week left in the season, this was the last game for both Josh and Emma before the tournament. Against advice, Josh signed up for the chess tournament on February 8th. His decision was due primarily to his frustrations during the season as the team didn't really play as a team. After the game today, he regretted his decision because it looked like it had all come together. The boys played like a unit and everybody was involved. As a team, it was easily their best game of the season.
Emma's team had a double-header scheduled for the final weekend before the tournament but today ended up being her last game when both she and Brad went down with the flu. She missed the entire week of school and even though she was feeling better, we said no to basketball. This was the game that we had been waiting for all season, Little Rock Christian. As expected, it was a close game but in the end, our Wildcats finally got a long-awaited win against the Warriors.
