January Chess Tournament

The opportunities to compete in three tournaments in order to qualify for the grand championship was limited this year.  Josh attended a tournament in October and let's just say, that it wasn't his best outing.  There were definitely tears, which didn't help anything since it just made him get more and more down on himself.  They didn't have a tournament in November and in December, he played basketball.  That left him with needing to skip basketball in January or February and then playing the tournament in March.  Looking at his basketball schedule, January was a good game to miss since they weren't playing a very competitive team.  Josh went into the tournament with a better attitude and didn't let losses or draws get to him.  He was back in the medals.
