Capri - June 14th

I would venture to say that our excursion to Capri would probably be ranked as a favorite by everybody.  We got picked up early and headed to the water to wait for our ferry to Capri.  At the docks, we met our tour guide, Pepe, who was the best of all the tour guides and all of them had been good so far.  We had the best day with him and had many laughs.  During our wait, Pepe also gave us some information for the day with different options.

When we arrived at Capri, we first boarded a bus and headed up to Anacapri.  One of the options was to take a ride via swing up to the top of the island.  Since we were one of the first buses up to the top of the island, there was no wait for the ride up to the top.  We weren't sure that Josh would want to do this since heights are not his thing but thankfully he was all for it and the view was spectacular.

Afterwards, Pepe took the group on a little tour of Anacapri.  It was then time for a little shopping and lunch before heading down to Capri.  In Capri, we had a bit more time to wander around and another short tour with Pepe.

The final part of the tour included a visit to the Blue Grotto or a boat trip around the island.  Originally we had planned on the Blue Grotto but after listening to Pepe, we opted for the trip around the island.  After seeing all the boats loaded with people waiting for their turn for a quick trip into the Grotto,we were glad we listened to Pepe.  Before we headed back to Sorrento, the kids got to dip their feet in the Gulf of Naples.

Back in Sorrento, we enjoyed one final evening before heading to Florence.
