Emma's Field Trip to Garvan Gardens

The second graders went on a field trip to Garvan Gardens on Thursday, October 22nd.  For some reason, in the twelve years we've been here, we've never been to Garvan Gardens and now I am dying to go back and take visitors.  Emma opted to ride with me instead of taking the bus.  Turned out to be a good decision since we were among the lucky few that got to see the resident peacock, Lonely George.  After what seemed like a whirlwind tour through the gardens, we headed to a park for lunch and play time.  Emma wasn't required to go back to school so she and I went down town so she could see the Hot Springs.  Emma also indulged in some ice cream from Kilwin's before we headed home to pick up Josh.
